Passions, Interests and Experience:

Why did you want to become Cabin Crew?

Overall Aviation passionate, no matter the position, just in love of the airport, infrastructure, and airplanes. Airlines brand as company.

Thinking to the beginning of your career, how did you find your entry into the role?

Trainings were very high-level qualifications with extended knowledge about aviation, with a lot of protocols and manuals. If you were young or open to learn, it could shape behaviours, develop soft skills and improve business overall awareness.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I set the tone and mood of the day, the team respond and passenger satisfaction. The whole vibe changes we showed professionalism and happiness. As humans in charge of the decision making, the positive outcome or the relax or efficiency of the day. The problem solving depends on us and the team.

My team and Leadership has immediate impact on the airline ops and business overall. I’m always in the now with all my senses.

What is most challenging about your job?

Keeping the cold blood whilst making a decision, accounting for everybody’s feelings and feedback. Keep the standards whilst you understand and empathise with the needs of everybody: Passengers, Co-workers, Flight Deck. Manage the time so all areas are covered. You have to always be present and aware. It’s challenging but I love the sensation of dedicating fully my attention.

What did you find was the most important part of your job?

The human approach, that can change people’s day, flight, travel, experience. The learning by doing and how you improve your self-management with positive effect to others.

Have you Mentored anyone before?

Yes. I have work co-workers that have recommended others to approach me or written recommendations throughout my career.

Finally, why did you want to become a Resilient Crew Mentor?

Is such an inspiring idea, that during COVID I was thinking was greatly required and made me get my CRM license.
