Why did you want to become a pilot?
I was lucky enough to travel as child and this inspired me to become a pilot. When I was at school I investigated pilot careers but was advised against it as I was female. After leaving college I then independently started out my flying training.
How did you fund your training?
Mostly self-funded, the BCPL & Flying Instructor rating part sponsored by Cabair.
Was training a breeze or did you find it a challenge?
Some aspects of training were a challenge, but one I relished.
What was most challenging?
The TRI course was the most challenging, yet also the most rewarding, consolidating all the pilot competencies to provide effective training.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
No one day is the same and learning new skills.
What is most challenging about your job?
Early shifts!
Which of the Pilot Competencies are of most interest to you and why?
Problem Solving and Decision making and how the other competencies integrate into this.
