Why did you want to become a pilot?

Childhood dream & the uniform

How did you fund your training?

Self funded

Was training a breeze or did you find it a challenge?

Anyone who says it’s a breeze is lying ! The sheer volume of work was the hardest part.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I enjoyed working as part of a team, meeting new people every week. For me though the best part was visiting new places and exploring.

What is most challenging about your job?

Long hours and sleepless nights

Which Pilot Competencies are of most interest to you?

Having come full circle and now working as a trainer I’m interested in most pilot competencies. Communication&team work are particularly important.

The word resilient is particularly important to me personally. I lost my medical at the age of

33 due to a rare form of cancer, so the word resilience resonates with me!

As I struggled with mental health after being diagnosed and then losing my job I’d like to help

others who are inthe same boat.
