Helping individuals and airlines transform regulation into pilot resilience and performance
Combining an integrated assessment and continuous development platform, licensed virtual scenario trainers, and comprehensive instructor/evaluator development programmes for a complete CBTA/EBT solution — transforming regulation into pilot resilience and performance.
Hello. We're Resilient Pilot.
Resilient Pilot was founded in 2020 to help mentor and support airline pilots and cadets affected by industry shutdowns. Since then, we have grown into a leading training and development organisation, supporting thousands of pilots from major global airlines develop their confidence, competence, and resilience through Competancy-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) and Evidence-Based Training (EBT).
Our mission is simple: to empower individuals and airlines to embed CBTA/EBT and turn industry regulation into pilot resilient and performance.

Airlines and flight schools
Comprehensive, scaleable, and proven solutions to deliver CBTA/EBT success, while helping you manage costs.

Individual cadets and pilots
Pilot-designed, convenient solutions to equip you with the mindset, skills and resilience for a career on the flight deck.

THE INDUSTRY CHALLENGE
How are you preparing for the shift to CBTA/EBT
from 2026?
We know that the implementation of CBTA/EBT requires significant resource and investment. We can help your airline or ATO prepare for the introduction of CBTA/EBT, ensuring a seamless transition to next-generation pilot training without compromising operational efficiency.
We start by training and developing your IEs in CBTA, which in turn makes pilots better and increases safety performance.

DEVELOPMENT IS MISSING IN CBTA/EBT
We put development
at the centre of
CBTA/EBT
CBDTA
CBTA/EBT = "Training and assessment that is characterised by developing and assessing the overall competence and capability of a pilot."
True competency isn’t just trained and assessed, it’s developed! Our fully integrated system ensures pilots don’t just meet regulatory minimum standards—they exceed them, continuously evolving through industry-leading training, assessment, and development.
CBTA next generation results: where data meets development
By utilising our EASA-recommended norm-based grading system and vSBTS, we are driving real progress: 50 pilots from a major European airline in the 'Route to Command Development' programme have shown a significant improvement of nearly one full point in non-technical competencies — specifically in leadership, decision-making, and communication—equipping them with the critical command behaviours needed for the future.

Our approach. Six steps to CBTA/EBT

1. Analyse your training needs
Struggling to simplify and implement ICAO PANS TRNG 9868?
The CBTA bible recommends using the Instructional System Design ADDIE methodology, but where do you start?
That’s where we come in. Let’s streamline your TNA, enhance competency, and stay ahead of regulations:
Compliance made simple
Performance and resilience optimisation
Beyond the standards: continuous pilot development
2. Train and develop your IEs
The Resilience Deck app
Empower your IEs to standardise, prioritise, and develop the pilot competencies (Competence), IE competencies
(IE Competence) to the level 2 recommended iOB metrics and develop 27 human factor countermeasures (Confidence) with the Resilience Deck app and LMS*.
Virtual training
Integrate initial and recurrent IE standardisation training, concordance, and inter-rater reliability, leveraging the IATA/ICAO IE competency framework.

3. Train and develop your pilots
The Resilience Deck app
Empower your pilots to go beyond the regulations to standardise, prioritise, and develop the pilot Competencies down to the level 2 recommended OB metrics (Competence) and develop 27 Human Factor Countermeasures (Confidence) with the app and LMS*.
Virtual training
Personalised continuous training and development programmes, ensuring pilots receive targeted, data-driven learning experiences.

4. Effective training system performance
AI-powered EBT manager dashboard
Our advanced dashboard seamlessly integrates performance metrics, offering real-time, AI-driven insights that empower training managers to optimise decision-making and pilot competency development.
Easy and useful presentation of data for optimised decision making and training design
Reduced analysis time, providing a real-time view of training system performance

5. Virtual scenario-based training vSBT

Leveraging a bank of 36 cutting-edge vSBTs built on IATA EBT industry training recommendations:
Access customised and interactive virtual training scenarios tailored to airline-specific operational challenges
Designed for all pilot populations, from cadets to IE, vSBTs embody scenario-based training principles within EBT recurrent training programs.
Pilots develop critical competencies to effectively navigate unexpected line-oriented events, enhancing safety, adaptability, and real-time operational decision-making
Reduce training costs, resources, and training time with training solutions available 24/7
6. Integrated assessment and grading system
Revolutionising pilot training with AI-powered grading
Our industry-leading AI-powered grading system transforms pilot assessments by focusing on competency-based performance rather than just task execution. Seamlessly integrated with IATA/ICAO/EASA’s VENN methodology, it blends norm-referenced and criterion-referenced evaluations for precise, standardised assessments:
IEs can effortlessly capture real-time observations, fostering continuous learning and development for both pilots and trainers
With a focus on observable behavior and performance growth, the system aligns with CBTA/EBT methodologies, enhancing training effectiveness, reducing costs, and elevating aviation safety to new heights.

Our programmes
We have adopted the ICAO recommended ADDIE (analyse, design, develop, implement, evaluate) instructional system design methodology for CBTA, the components of which are shown above. We can support your airline/ATO in designing your programme or you can select from our suite below:
