Resilient Pilot, an Approved Training Organisation by the UK CAA, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Buckinghamshire New University to provide its renowned ATPL(A) theory course.

Delivered by operational airline pilots, through a combination of distance learning and face-to-face training, the course provides students with a comprehensive pathway to a career on the flight deck.

Resilient Pilot’s ATPL(A) theory course is unique because it embeds knowledge, skills, and attitudes (KSA100) from the outset, which encourages students to think like an airline pilot from day one. The course also includes:

·      Virtual scenario-based training, simulating real life operational challenges on the flight deck

·      Three modules covering 14 subject areas, supported by 15 days of intensive face-to- face “brush-up” sessions

·      Dedicated mentoring from operational airline pilots and professional performance coaches

·      One-to-one theoretical instruction from Theoretical Knowledge Instructors

·      Course materials from industry leaders PadPilot and ATPL Questions

·      Exclusive access to Resilience Deck – the industry’s first human factors and competency development copilot app, designed by pilots and aviation coaches

The course runs for 12 months and will utilise the facilities at Buckinghamshire New Universities’ High Wycombe campus.

Commenting on the partnership, Founder and CEO of Resilient Pilot, Stuart Beech said: “Buckinghamshire New University has over 20 years’ experience providing aviation programmes for aspiring aviators, and we are pleased to partner with them to deliver our ATPL(A) theory course. Our ATPL(A) course has been designed to give students the very best start in their aviation career, combining world-class learning, tutoring from operational airlines pilots, and KSAs embedded from the first class. We are looking forward to working with the University on this forward-thinking and exciting initiative.”
