Resilient Pilot was founded to help support budding aviators and pilots achieve their full potential. Our NextGen Aviator Programme, in partnership with British Airways, reflects that founding ambition and we are proud to inspire and develop future pilots from some of the UK's most disadvantaged communities.
Increasing social mobility by inspiring future aviators
Through our innovative training and development solutions, we are training British Airways pilots to be qualified mentors, coaches, and competency-based instructors. In turn, they deliver immersive virtual and in-person workshops to colleage students, aged between 16-18 (years 11-13), from across the UK.

About the programme
Foundations for success
INSPIRE
Fully trained BA pilots work with colleges and provide workshops and scenario-based training to students. They focus on developing personal and professional behaviours required for a career on the flight deck.
Students get exclusive access to Resilience Deck - the world's first app for human factors and countermeasures. Resilience Deck has been developed by pilots and professional coaches and enables students to start thinking like a fully trained pilot, using evidence-based software to support their continuous development.
The Inspire stage of the programme is structured to provide interested students a platform to progress to the second stage, Develop.
Prepare for a career on the flightdeck
DEVELOP
Students join a monthly virtual programme of workshops designed to develop:
-
Human factors
-
CRM
-
Pilot competencies
These crucial areas are developed through scenario-based training. The aim is to prepare students for seamless integration into British Airways and increasing their chances of success during Speedbird Pilot Academy Selection.
Helping young people develop the skills and knowledge needed for a career on the flightdeck.
