Privacy and Confidentiality Policy

Your privacy is important to us.

It is 'Resilient Pilot’s' policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website and providing our services. Accordingly, we have developed this privacy and confidentiality policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate, disclose and otherwise make use of personal information. We have outlined our privacy policy below:

  • We will only collect personal information by lawful and fair means

  • Before or at the time of collecting personal information, we will identify the purposes for which information is being collected.

  • We will collect and use personal information solely for fulfilling those purposes specified by us unless we obtain the consent of the individual concerned or as required by law.

  • We collect only that personal data which is relevant to the purposes for which it is to be used, and, to the extent necessary for those purposes, and to ensure it is accurate, complete and up-to-date, as far as reasonably practicable.

  • We may share your information with 'Resilient Pilot' approved Mentors in the fulfilment of Mentor/Mentee engagement. Any Mentor that we share your information with is obligated to keep your details securely and to only use them to fulfil the service they provide you on our behalf. Information that 'Resilient Pilot' will not share:

  • We will not sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your consent.

  • We will not pass your information to third-parties to enable them to contact you themselves about products and services they offer without your consent.

  • We will protect personal information by using reasonable security safeguards against loss or theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.  

  • We will make readily available to customers, information about our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.

  • We will only retain personal information for as long as necessary for the fulfilment of those purposes.

Your rights regarding your information:

  • You have genuine choice and control over how 'Resilient Pilot' uses your personal information.

  • You have the right to access, update and delete your information at any time. The only reason 'Resilient Pilot' would be unable to delete information at your request is where there is a legitimate legal reason why 'Resilient Pilot' is obligated to keep it.

  • You also have the right to restrict or object to certain kinds of processing of your information, including marketing emails.

  • Signing up for Resilient Crew Room membership and any events or newsletters automatically subscribes you to our newsletter system. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in each newsletter or by emailing info@resilientpilot.com

  • We may send you emails if we have your consent or a ‘legitimate interest’ which means we have a business or commercial reason to use your information. You can change your preferences at any time if you do not want to receive certain types of email.

  • You are not obligated to share your personal information with 'Resilient Pilot'. If you choose not to share your information, we may not be able to provide you with our services.

  • Cancellation of any activity or membership must be done in accordance with Resilient Pilot’s Terms and Conditions​​

Confidentiality

'Resilient Pilot' is committed to conducting our business in accordance with the above principles in order to ensure that the confidentiality of personal information is protected and maintained.

For a mutually respectful mentoring/coaching relationship to develop, both the Mentor/Coach and Mentee/Coachee or Resilient Crew Room member must feel that discussions are being handled with discretion.

All information shared between a Mentee/Coachee and Mentor/Coach will be kept confidential except in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • In discussion of case load with other Resilient Pilot Mentors/Coaches and Founders where appropriate or necessary (although such discussions will be anonymised ie by not using Mentee/Coachee/Member’s name)

  • If the Mentor/Coach or other Resilient Pilot team member feels there is any risk of harm to self or others

  • If a court order to reveal information is served

Providing the Mentor/Coach feels there is no increased risk as a result of doing so, he/she will discuss breaking confidentiality with the mentee/coachee/member in advance of taking such action. In such circumstances the ideal outcome would be for the mentee/coachee/member to break the confidentiality themselves.

Switching Mentors/Coaches
Should a Mentor/Coach feel it is appropriate to refer a Mentee/Coachee to a new Mentor/Coach for any reason, they will normally discuss this with their Mentee/Coachee first. The Resilient Pilot co-ordination team will then make the necessary arrangements to switch mentors.

Should a Mentee/Coachee wish to change their Mentor/Coach, they are encouraged to discuss this first with their Mentor/Coach who can then facilitate the switch through the Resilient Pilot co-ordination team. 

However, should it not be appropriate for Mentor/Coach Mentee/Coachee/Member to discuss a switch first, they should contact the Resilient Pilot Co-ordination team who will make the necessary arrangements.

Concerns and Complaints: 
Mentees are encouraged to discuss any concerns about their mentoring experience with their Mentors. 

  • If you have any cause for concern or complaint with regard to 'Resilient Pilot's website or service, or wish to provide feedback on your 'Resilient Pilot' experience, please contact us at info@resilientpilot.com

  • Full details on our complaints policy can be found in Resilient Pilot’s Terms and Conditions

  • 'Resilient Pilot' may change this privacy notice from time to time at 'Resilient Pilot’s' sole discretion.

Policy Agreement

Individuals subscribing for newsletters will be asked to confirm they give permission for Resilient Pilot to use their email address in line with this policy.

Individuals wishing to join the Resilient Crew Room, receive mentoring or coaching, access any of Resilient Pilot’s resources or make use of FlightPlan, will be asked to state that they have read and agreed to this policy and Resilient Pilot’s Terms and Conditions beforehand.
